A day (and night!) to remember

After the success of icm07, the icm08 Credit Management conference and exhibition had a lot to live up to. Fortunately it did not disappoint, drawing together hundreds of credit management professionals from across the country to one venue, on one day. They gathered to listen and learn from experts at the conference, review the latest products and innovations at the exhibition, and network with their peers at the awards evening.

The icm08 conference made for a lively discussion around topical areas affecting credit professionals. Opening with an entertaining and informative keynote address from the well-known business and current affairs broadcaster, Adrian Chiles, the conference culminated in a Question Time style forum hosted by the ever-popular Peter Sissons that carried on for some time after the event was officially due to finish.

Between the presentations, delegates took the opportunity of visiting the icm08 exhibition, where virtually every sector of the credit management profession was represented. It included familiar names from the world of credit information and intelligence, professional services organisations, technology providers and various industry bodies.

The conference and exhibition ended with the icm08 Awards, a fitting finale to a busy and rewarding day. Top TV impressionist Alistair McGowan was in charge of proceedings to ensure the award winners left the stage with a smile that sent them on their way to party out the rest of the evening in style.

Feedback from the convention has been extremely positive, and the organisation team is already in discussions for the next one, icm09. Watch this space!
